Nature Center and Shady Grove, Revisited

This morning we met up with some friends at the Austin Nature and Science Center. It had been too long since our last visit. There is so much for kids to do here. Plus, there are cool bat mosaics!

The fish tanks caught Jackson and Olivia's attention straight off.

They were a bit more cautious about the lizard tanks. Can you see that one funny little lizard hanging upside down?

There are larger animals, too. This bobcat never moved. He may have been meditating.

Mr. Coyote, on the other hand, was a pacer. Back and forth, back and forth.

After some play in the dino pits, we headed over to Shady Grove for lunch. I've had less-than-stellar experiences at Shady Grove in the past, but they really redeemed themselves this time. Our waitress was awesome and didn't bat an eye at our table full of wild children, and the Campfire Grilled Veggie plate was great -- spicy and flavorful.

A great day with friends and fun, what else can you ask for.
