The Little Gymnast

Awhile back, Jackson attended a birthday party for a school buddy. It was held at a gymnastics center and the kids got to run wild, playing with all the tumbling equipment. Jackson had the best time. When we found out that they offer classes every week, I signed Jackson up.

He has the best time. And it wears him out so he takes a good nap later -- bonus!  Olivia and I wait in the lobby and watch through the glass. She takes the opportunity to try on bubba's hoodie.

I'm thrilled that Jackson enjoys being active and seeing what his body can do. But I already knew fitness was important to my kids.  I know this because, when we go out to the garage to start a load of laundry, this is what they do while I'm measuring out my detergent.

Tonight's dinner was the Mellow Lentil "Sniffle Soup" from Eat, Drink & Be Vegan. I found a used copy of this cookbook awhile back and this may be the first recipe I made from it. We all enjoyed it, so more will follow.

  1. OMG how adorable! And I still love that hoodie, I really want one :) That lentil soup looks delicious, I'll have to try it! I've been wanting to make lentil soup for a while now. Thanks for reminding me of that recipe!

  2. He looks so adorable! I took gymnastics as a kid and have fond memories - I'm sure the same thing will happen for your son!
